The Z1000 variable speed drive is designed for building automation applications such as fans, pumps, and cooling towers through 500 HP.

The Z1000 features an easy-to-read LCD keypad that provides HandOff-Auto interface and a real time clock. These features make the Z1000 perfect for most building automation applications that require reliable motor control.

The Z1000 variable speed drive is designed for building automation applications requiring a 1-500HP HVAC-Specific AC Drive with 2-Contactor BypassThe Z1000 Bypass Package is optimized with an Intelligent Bypass and advance BAS interface. The design sets a new benchmark for performance, benefits and quality. The Z1000 Bypass is BTL listed.

The Intelligent Bypass, when enabled, can transfer the motor across the line when the application requires 60Hz. Most HVAC systems require 60Hz at peak demand (Summer months – daytime), which will utilize the intelligent bypass function. Removing the drive at 60 Hz saves energy and removes harmonics at worse case conditions.

The E7 Drive is a variable torque AC drive, designed specifically for HVAC applications in building automation. A new benchmark for size,
cost, performance, benefits, and quality, the E7 includes numerous built-in features such as Network Communications, H/O/A, PI, and
energy-savings functions. The E7 has embedded communications for the popular building automation protocols, Johnson Controls Metasys N2 and Siemens APOGEE™ FLN, as well as Modbus. An optional LonWorks or EtherNet/IP interface card is also available.

The LCD keypad/operator is equipped with Hand/Off/Auto functions, copy feature, 6 language choices, and 5 lines of display, 16 characters
per line. Optional DriveWizard™ software allows upload/download, as well as graphing and monitoring of drive parameters from a PC for ease
of drive management. User parameter settings can be recovered at any time via “user re-initialization”.

Built-in PI maintains set point for closed loop control of fans and pumps for pressure, flow or temperature regulation and eliminates the need for closed loop output signals from a BAS. It includes feedback display, iinverse, square root and differential control functions.

A Sleep function provides significant energy savings by minimizing operating hours. Under-torque detection, alerts the operator toconditions such as loss of load or broken belts. Energy savings control is an automatic output voltage adjustment in response to actual motor load. Real-time energy savings is based on motor algorithms. Motor efficiency is increased by several percent. Built-in kW-hour and kW display eliminates the need for external signal conditioner for energy monitoring.

If a phase-shifting input transformer is used, the E7 dual-diode bridge can be operated in 12-pulse rectification mode, reducing input current harmonic distortion factor by over 90%. With lower EMI/RFI emission and lower total harmonic distortion contribution, the E7 meets or
exceeds the generally accepted power quality standards. Inherent motor protection features resulting from low noise/low carrier technology provides for longer lead lengths without additional motor protection devices.

The standard enclosure is NEMA 1. NEMA 3R and 12 are optional

E7 Drive/Bypass Systems consist of an E7 drive with bypass. The E7B is a 3 contactor bypass while the E7L is a 2 contactor bypass providing cost savings when it is not necessary to isolate the drive during service. These variable torque AC drive systems are designed specifically for HVAC applications in building automation. The E7 drive sets a new benchmark for cost, performance, benefits and quality. It includes numerous built-in features such as Network Communications, H/O/A, PI (set point control), and energy-saving functions.

The E7 drive has embedded serial communication for the popular building automation protocols; Johnson Controls Metasys N2 and Siemens APOGEE™ FLN, as well as Modbus. An optional LonWorks interface card is also available for LonWorks and EtherNet/IP.

The Touchpad Control/Operator is equipped with 6 LED illuminated selector buttons: Hand, Off, Auto, Drive Select, Bypass Select and Drive Test. The touchpad control operator also features 11 other status LED indicators: Control Power, Drive Ready, Drive Run, Drive Fault, Bypass Run, Motor O/L, Safety Open, Damper/BAS Interlock, Smoke Purge, Auto Transfer, and Auto Run. The touchpad control/operator is available with an LCD or LED display. The 22mm Panel with LCD Display features 3 large switches for "Hand/Off/Auto", "Drive/Bypass" and "Normal/Test" along with quantity 6, 22mm LED's when illuminated indicate: Control Power, Drive Run, Drive Fault, Bypass Run, Motor O/L, Safety Open, Smoke Purge.

Standard features for both systems include inputs for Safety Interlocks, Auto Run/Stop, Damper/BAS Interlock, Remote Transfer to Bypass, Smoke Purge, 0-10 VDC or 4-20 mA input speed signal and an RS485 communication port. The standard outputs include 3 Programmable (Form C) Relays, 1 Motor Run (Form A) Relay (all output relays rated 250 VAC, 1 Amp) and 2 programmable analog outputs (0-10 VDC or 4-20 mA).

Energy savings control is an automatic output voltage adjustment responsive to actual motor load. Real-time energy saving is based on motor algorithms. Motor efficiency is increased by several percent. Built-in kW-hour and kW display eliminates the need for an external signal conditioner for energy monitoring.
